Trace the rich and authentic journey of African Americans in Annapolis and explore their contributions both nationally and internationally. Key historical sites include the Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Memorial (created in honor of the book "Roots") and the Thurgood Marshall Memorial.

Stroll the streets with a Civil War US Marine Lieutenant, a maid, shopkeeper or another period dressed character and experience life as a local Annapolitan in the 1860’s.
